THE VINCENTS HISTORY:

I have owned this bike since 1978. It was supplied by the factory to Redhill Motors North Road Brighton, KUF 956 being its original Brighton number. it
was complete but partly dismantled. Originally in touring trim with 18″ and 19″ wheels, I assembled the bike and used it regularly gradually sorting out the
Problems.

After a few years I completely rebuilt it as a Standard Rapide, as it is today. I have made some “in period” upgrades such as an owner back in the fifties
and sixties may have done but still keeping the basic standard appearance.

The paintwork is by the late Brian Dees ” Deespray”

It has a handed pair of monobloc carburettors, 12 volt coil ignition, a Norton clutch and Dunlop rims 20″ front 19″ rear. The clutch action is still very
light and not at all tiring to use.

I have not kept a record of everything that was done way back then but from memory I believe the engine still has its original main and big end
bearings. The camshafts and followers are Gary Robinson stellited and it has a steel idler fitted.

New cylinder liners and Omega pistons were fitted, valve seats and locking rocker oil feed bolts.

I have ridden very little in recent years and so have made the difficult decision to part with it.

Signed: Adrian F
