1956 Manx Norton 30M for Sale, ( 1956 MANX NORTON 500cc LONG STROKE ) Here is a truly iconic motorcycle! The Manx Norton needs no introduction as surely the most successful ”over-the-counter” road racing motorcycle ever made. Manx Nortons dominated world motorcycle racing up to the early 1960’s and in upgraded form remain competitive in the classic racing scene today.Not only admired for their performance on the track, the sheer good looks of these machines has influenced a generation or two of motorcycle designers and amateur specials builders.
1956 Manx Norton 500cc Long Stroke, all checked and with certificate with Norton Owner’s Club, Registered for the road with number plate fitted Reg No: ( 399 UYN ) Chassis Frame No: L11M 69375 which is stamped on the frame was allocated to a Norton Model 30M which was despatched from the factory to Warsaw on 25th May 1956, the replacement Norton Mod 30 engine with number 75691 was despatched from the factory in 1937. The engine was rebuilt 2000 miles ago and was fitted with a Daytona kickstart conversion for easy starting, also included are the original gearbox covers to put back to standard race trim.
