1966 Triumph T20 T20SH Tiger Cub For Sale (9) Min1966 Triumph T20 T20SH Tiger Cub for Sale, completely rebuilt from the bottom up with all new parts as required, The motorcycle has been rebuilt to original specifications using the Triumph parts book as reference. This is a 1965 (but registered in 1966 which was quite common at the time) Triumph Tiger Cub T20SH the machine has matching numbers and its original registration number which is transferable, there have been one or two upgrades both wheels have been rebuilt with polished stainless steel rims and spokes the electrics have been completely rewired but are still six volt as per original but have been fitted with modern solid state rectifier control box, all bolts and fixings have been re-plated in bright zinc and all chrome plating has been re-plated in triple chrome plating, the engine when dismantled was found to be in good condition but all bearings and oil seals gaskets etc have been replaced the cylinder bore has been honed and a new piston / rings fitted the big end was dismantled and found to be in excellent condition all oil ways were cleaned out before it was reassembled, the valves were both refaced and reground, the gearbox has had all bearings oils seals and gaskets replaced. The paintwork has been done to the original colour scheme with black frame headlamp etc, mudguards and petrol tank bottom in Silver Sheen the tank top and the mudguard stripe are in Hi Fi Scarlet the mudguard stripes are lined out in gold which are hand painted and not tapes. The seat has been covered in the original colours grey top black sides with grey bottom, only 1,826 Triumph Tiger Cub T20SH motorcycles were built between 1962 to 1965 and this is some of the last of them built after this the Triumph Tiger Cub was built in the BSA Bantam frame ( Rare ). These little machines were quite sprightly as the engines are built with a higher compression ratio, larger valves the “R” cam and a 15/16″ 376 monobloc carburettor, the gearbox is fitted with close ration gears, the frame was also strengthened and the front forks were the heavy weight ones the same as the larger twin cylinder models which makes this a fine sports machine.
