1976 Honda CB400 Four For Sale (2)1976 Honda CB400 Four for Sale, Early rear footpeg swingarm model, 2 Former Keepers from new. First Keeper owned from brand new on 01.08.1976 and shows on DVLA Registration document V5c as ‘None’ and after owning the bike for 36 years he then sold the bike on 20.04.2014 to a Mr T Lewis showing as ‘One 1’ former keeper on the V5c and then after just one year of ownership he sells the bike to a Mr J Holmes on the 26.03.2015 who shows as ‘Two 2’ on the V5c Hence ( NO: OF FORMER KEEPERS 2 ) Has this bike been stored for 36 years ???? hence mileage ??? Was the bike rescued in 2014 by T Lewis ? and then resurrected ? Genuine UK supplied by Honda UK, Hence 408cc Full power

Here we have a genuine UK supplied 1976 Honda CB400 Four early model, this bike has been refreshed in 2014, the wheels have been rebuilt with stainless spokes and rims, the front and rear mudguards are dent free and the chrome is also good, the original Honda seat with original studding is still on the bike with no splits, the exhaust has been replaced with a 4 into 1 Motad stainless system recently and the rear shocks are Koni’s

Side panels are original and unpainted with original transfers, the fuel tank has been painted and fitted with badges ‘they should be transfers’ Mechanically the bike is sound and pulls well through all the gears, the clutch operates with no slippage and feels light. the lighting and electrics are good and all works as it should. The mileage showing is hard to believe at 1490 but here’s the big but, I have just logged the bike into our Mot station and the DVSA system has mentioned that the bike has never been issued with an Mot ‘it has also asked to record its test class for the first time ? . I am now thinking this may be a bike that has had a very lengthy rest for 35 odd years ? before 2014 : ) Anyway your guess is as good as mine

To correct the fuel tank colour and transfers along with the rear shocks and original style exhaust would not be to much effort for the right person, you would then have yourself a very nice original looking UK CB400 Four, or you could just ride and use as is. We have the DVLA V5c registration document with first Mot until December 2018, we do not have a toolkit or Owners Handbook but we do have the keys : ) to start. Part exchange welcome, delivery anywhere for a fee, all payments taken.
