1964 MV AGUSTA LIBERTY 48cc TWO STROKE

Introduced in the early 1960s, the MV Agusta Liberty was a stylish lightweight designed for Italy's moped-tax category. With its 50cc two-stroke engine and elegant lines, it offered economical transport with unmistakable MV flair.

Restored around 2012, as evidenced by numerous invoices on file from that period. Extensively modified and improved to an exceptionally high standard in the classical café-racer style, it represents a striking interpretation of MV Agusta's lightweight Cafe Racer / commuter : ) : ) : )

Work includes a complete engine overhaul, new ignition and flywheel, twin-sided front brake, alloy rims, and a custom tank and seat, alongside refinishing of cycle parts to a very high standard.

Last taxed in July 2015, the Liberty shows only 93 miles on the odometer which are presumed to have been covered since restoration.
Documentation includes a V5C, photocopy of a workshop manual, old tax discs, MoTs from 2013, 2014, and 2015, together with a dating letter from the MV Agusta Owners Club of Great Britain confirming it was built in 1964 and is an MV Agusta Liberty.

Beautifully presented and distinctive, this Liberty offers a wonderful Italian alternative to the more familiar Japanese lightweights, such as the FS1-E, and would make a fine addition to any collection of small-capacity machines.
